The 2010 Boys & Girls Club One Campaign will be kicking off March 1st. Please take this

One voice can relay wisdom that resonates for generations. One Boys & Girls Club can give hope to an entire neighborhood.

At the Boys & Girls Club of Greeneville & Greene County, any gift—no matter how big or small—is immensely appreciated.

This is the idea behind our It Just Takes One Campaign: It just takes One caring adult,

One Boys & Girls Club, and One gift to forever impact the life of a child.

This campaign ensures that the doors to the Club remain open and accessible to

all children and that the Clubs are able to continue to provide:

A Safe Place for those who may be left alone after school or on the streets with no guidance.

The Clubs are a safe place to play and a place safe enough where kids can be themselves.

Life- Enhancing Programs that can open young minds. The Boys & Girls Club expose youth to new ideas and skills that prepare

them for life. We teach the importance of character in all of our programs.

A Relationship with caring, trained Adults. The availibility of dependable, caring adults who are responsive to a child's daily

realities are critical to developing meaningful, often lifelong relationships, that enable children to reach their full potential.

Why should I give to the One Campaign?

The Boys & Girls Club’s mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full

potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. “The cost of providing the Boys & Girls Club experience to one child for

a year cost the club just over $ 250.00” said Judge Ken Bailey. “You can see what a valuable investment that is when you compare

it to the cost of incarcerating a youth who went in the wrong direction, usually $32,000 or more a year. "The Boys & Girls

Club gives a good return on investment.” Bailey added The Boys & GirlsClub is a non-profit, privately-funded 501(c)(3) organization

and depends on private donations, sponsorships and volunteers to accomplish its mission. The club only charges $5.00 per year

for an after school program membership. "We keep the dues low so that every child can afford to be a club member if

they want" states Ted Bryant, a Boys & Girls Club boardmember and Co-Chairman of this years' One Campaign drive

along with Doug DeBusk.
