Tex andhis friends are getting ready for the 2009 Astros 5K road race
The 2009 Greeneville Astros 5K, presented by Atmos Energy will be held on
Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 8 am at Pioneer Park in Greeneville, Tennessee. This event benefits the Boys & Girls Club of Greeneville & Greene County. The run will start on the beautiful campus of Tusculum College, winding through a scenic hiking trail of Tusculum, ending with a lap around the warning track of Pioneer Park, the baseball stadium for the Greeneville Astros. Registration begins at 6:30 am, the 5K Race begins at 8:00 am. Entry fee is $15 per participant and each participant will receive an event 5-K T-shirt and one general admission ticket to a 2009 Greeneville Astros home game. Sign up online at www.greenevilleastros.com on the link to the right side of the webpage or sign up at the Greeneville Astros offices at Pioneer Park. The top male and female finisher of the 5K will receive the opportunity to throw out a ceremonial pitch at a future Greeneville Astros home game.
