Jr. Golf Classic and the Greene County Youth Golf Championship                                                        
   

8th annual Boys & Girls Club Jr. Golf Classic Winners Crowned

 

              

The Boys & Girls Club Jr. Golf Classic was held Monday July 27 at Link Hills Country Club. Many young golfers came out to participate in the event.

The top two winners of each age division received awards and are pictured from left to right:   Front Row: 1st Place 6-8 years old division Dillon Moore; 2nd Place 6-8 Casey Hartsell;

 1st Place 9-11 years old division Lance Hatfield; 2nd Place 9-11Dylan DeBusk.   Second Row: Tony Williams, tournament director; Dylan Payne who placed 1st Place 15-18 years old division; 2nd Place 15-18 Tyler Justis; 1st Place 12-14 years old division Elliot Snelson; and 2nd Place 12-14 Blake Kinser.

 

    The Boys & Girls Club of Greeneville & Greene County held their eight annual Boys & Girls Club Jr. Golf Classic at the Link Hills Country

 Club Golf Course Monday with competitors in several age divisions.  The Greeneville Pediatric Clinic and the Laughlin Memorial Hospital Children’s Center sponsored this year’s event.  The event was open to all Boys and Girls Ages 4– 18 years old. “This is a great youth golf event for the young golfers in our community”stated Noah Roark of Laughlin MemorialHospital  “I am honored for Laughlin Memorial Hospital to be involved with the Boys & Girls Club for this and many other events that benefit children throughout the year” headded.  The winners from the divisions of play included: The Boys 6-8 year old division, Dillon Moore shot a 30 to take the title and Casy Hartsell placed second with a 33.  In the Boys    9-11 year old division, Lance Hatfield shot a 49 to take top honors while Dylan DeBusk placed second with a 59.  In the Boys 12-14 year old division Elliot Snelson shot a 40 to pace playoff over Tyler Justis with both shooting a 75.  Elliot Taliferro was a shot back with a 76.Special thanks go out to Bobby Ward

1st Annual Boys & Girls Club Greene County Youth Golf Championship Winners crowned
 
    
 

    The Boys & Girls Club of Greeneville & Greene County held the 1st annual Greene County Youth Golf Championship on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at the Nolichucky View Golf Club in Greeneville, Tennessee.  The Greeneville Pediatric Clinic and the Laughlin Memorial Hospital Children’s Center sponsored this year’s event.  “This is a great youth golf event for the young golfers in our community” stated Tony Williams, the event chairman.

     The winners from the divisions of play included: Dillon Moore won the Boys 6-8 year old division with a 26 and Casey Hartsell finished second with a 29.  In the Boys 9-11 year old division Lance Hatfield carded a 43 while Dylan DeBusk and Justin Gosnell tied for second with each scoring a 52.  In the Boys 12-14 year old division, Blake Kinser fired a 38 to take top honors and Peyton Wilhoit was a shot back at 39.  In the 15-18 year old division, Seth Sayler was the medalist with a 73 and James Montgomery placed second with a 76 after a scorecard playoff over Nick Hatfield and Dylan Payne.
